Privacy Policy

Reyess.com publishes rate guides based on driver profile — age, driving record, location and vehicle — and lets you request auto insurance rates. This is where we explain what we collect, what happens to it, and your rights. Reyess.com is not currently operated under a separate registered company name, so "Reyess" here means Reyess.com.

Important: Reyess sells the personal information in rate requests to auto insurance carriers, agents, brokers and companies that help drivers find auto insurance. You can opt out at any time using our contact form.

1. Analytics and log data

Our hosting keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, device, page and time) for a limited period for security. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: GA4 sets cookies and reads your IP address, browser, device and pages visited to build aggregate reports and estimate a rough location. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't sell this data. Cookies can be blocked in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on.

2. Rate requests

To get you rates, the request form collects:

• name, email, phone, street address, city, state and ZIP code;
• date of birth, gender, marital status, military service by you or your family, education level, a credit score range you choose (no credit check is run) and whether you own or rent;
• up to two vehicles (year, make, model, owned or leased), the coverage level you want, your current insurer and how long you've been covered, whether your licence is valid and whether you need an SR-22.

We also keep a consent record: the exact wording you agreed to, when, your IP address and browser, the page address, and whether your browser signalled a Global Privacy Control opt-out. The form page runs ActiveProspect's TrustedForm, which records the page and your interactions with the form and creates a certificate showing you consented.

3. Messages and privacy requests

When you use our contact form, your message is emailed to us and we keep a copy of what you enter with the IP address and browser used.

4. How we use personal information

We use it to send your rate request to auto insurance companies so they can offer you rates; to prove your consent; to detect spam and misuse; to improve our guides and site; and to handle privacy requests and legal obligations.

5. Who we sell or disclose it to

Rate requests and consent records are sold to auto insurance carriers, agents, brokers and companies that help drivers find auto insurance. They may contact you as your consent allows and their own privacy policies then apply. We don't sell to companies outside auto insurance.

Service providers that process information for us are our hosting provider, our email provider, Google Analytics and ActiveProspect (TrustedForm). We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.

6. Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of information collected from that browser. A rate request submitted with GPC enabled will not be sold, and so will not be sent to insurance companies.

7. Stopping calls, texts and emails

Reply STOP to texts, tell callers to stop, or unsubscribe from emails. You can also choose "Stop contacting me" on our contact form; within 10 business days we'll stop our own contact and stop sending your details to new companies. Companies that already received your request maintain their own do-not-contact lists, so please ask them directly as well.

8. Your rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California and other states with consumer privacy laws), you have the right to:

• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
• know what personal information we've collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of companies we sold or disclosed it to;
• request deletion;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• appeal our decision on a request;
• not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California residents may also request, once per year, information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Submitting a request: use our contact form. We process opt-outs within 10 business days without needing to verify your identity. For requests to know, delete or correct, we verify by matching the information you provide with our records and may contact you by email. You'll hear from us within 10 business days to say we've got your request, and we aim to complete it within 45 days (extended by up to another 45 days only if we explain why). Authorized agents may submit requests with your written permission. When we delete your information, we notify the companies we sold it to.

9. California notice at collection

• Identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address) – sold, except IP data from browsing
• Customer records (street address, city) – sold
• Characteristics of protected classifications (age, gender, marital status, family military service) – sold
• Commercial information (vehicles, insurance history, coverage wanted) – sold
• Education information (education level) – sold
• Internet or network activity (logs, analytics, TrustedForm recording) – service providers; TrustedForm certificate provided to buyers
• Approximate geolocation (ZIP code, IP-based location) – ZIP code sold

Reyess gets this information directly from you, from your browser, and through Google Analytics and TrustedForm. We don't ask for sensitive personal information (as California law uses that term), and we have no financial incentive programs.

10. Retention

Rate requests and consent records: up to 5 years, so we can demonstrate consent. Privacy requests: 24 months. Google Analytics data: 14 months maximum. Server logs: a limited period for security.

11. Security

We use encrypted connections, and rate requests are stored on private servers with restricted access. No system is entirely secure.

12. Children

Reyess.com is for adults. You must be at least 18 to request rates, and we don't knowingly collect or sell personal information about anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
